Shhh! Don’t tell…

It’s no secret that I’ve been bubbling with enthusiasm on photography since I was back in KL. To satiate my desire for taking pictures, I got myself a Nikon Coolpix 5400. It was 3 months of research and reading up on digital cameras before I finally settled on it. The first reason I got it was because it was the sleekest, most beautiful prosumer camera within my price range. Its dark, professional exterior was the siren’s call that got me hooked to checking it out. Heh, so looks do sell. :P

In truth, I got the camera because of its large array of manual functions and most importantly, its wide angled lens. It is a 28mm (35mm lens equivalent) and does panoramic shots quite well. It fared better in comparisons to the Canon G5 (a brick by my standards) which failed from my standpoint in image quality and sheer size. There were other brands and considerations, but I kept the list of choices simple to avoid being fickle so I could decide on ONE camera.

Ain't this camera sexy?!?!
Heh, now how do you take a picture of a camera?

Okie, most of you know that I already have a camera. The thing that I’m really enthusiastic about now is this little item I received in the mail on Monday. It’s a little eBook called ‘Mastering Nikon™ Compact Digital Cameras – Version 6′ that not only teaches you how to take pictures, but also gives you ideas on how to use my specific piece of equipment. I’ve only spent an hour or two reading it and am already excited on the ideas it offers on photography. Heh, which puts more pressure on me now to deliver better looking shots.

Heh, time to go disturb the birds and trees.
