Dinner from a bottle

a carbonara wannabe...
I think my desk has become my studio

Okie, I know the food I’ve been posting up so far looks far from sumptuous. You’re probably asking why don’t I have glorious, mouth watering food to display? Heh, I’ll explain, before you think I don’t feed myself properly.

Been busy with the usual classes, web design for this site (heh, something good coming up, just wait a few more days…), and I just started watching Gundam Seed today (cool anime, with lotsa kick ass robots fighting each other set in some post apocalyptic human future, haha… yeah, I sound like a kid).

So hunger kicks in, and I haven’t been doing much grocery shopping of late. Decided to whip out the carbonara pasta sauce and cook some spaghetti. All was well, spaghetti simmering in the pot and onions frolicking in the pan. Okay, time to open the bottle of sauce. So it’s just turning the lid right? Left hand, right hand, rubber band on cover, using table cloth to get a better grip, using towel to get a better grip, putting on gym gloves to get a better grip. So this big bad wolf huffs and puffs and he can’t blow the top open. Alas, out of sheer frustration, I resorted to Plan B. Heh, evil eyes gleaming, I took out the kitchen knife and started yanking the top open. Bit by bit, I folded the tin cover outward until finally ‘pop’, you here the safety button (the air pressure thingy) go off and the lid comes off without second thought.

Heh, now I wonder why I even cook at times. Regarding feeding myself good food, I do I do. Just not at home. ;)
