Yes, been busy typing a lot on my keyboard.
*You may skip this post as it is technical rant!*
Webpage programming is design. Heh, not only do you have to code it so the webpage you’re designing has the intended look, but you also have to put spacing so it looks neat and tidy to people like me who actually read the code.
Used to like coding in WYSIWYG programs. Let the program do everything for you. Firstly, this generates horribly clunky code, like Frontpage does. Second, you don’t have absolute control over what’s being written into the HTML page (no, I’m not a control freak, haha, but more along the lines of a perfectionist!)
Lately, I’ve been resorting more and more to text based programs. Notepad is pretty efficient for designing killer websites. Just lately enlightened to XHTML and CSS design and I can finally code content separate from design. Once I have working content, I can change and rechange the design with little effort, not needing me to copy and paste chunks of content into my code ever again.
Heh, I just like coding. It’s more than just a tool of communication, telling the computer what to render, it’s an art form!
Been busy of late.
Dead tired.
