Well, that’s not how I wake up these days. Winter is dreadfully cold, and I know there are colder regions around the globe, but I’m just lethargic getting up these days. I guess it has plenty to do with needing to readjust to preparing for exams and my final essay.
Been reading up on Zeno the whole day, for my Philosophy essay. He has put up his paradoxes of motion and extensions. It has to do with maths and infinitesimals, which take the form of supertasks. I don’t think I want to try and explain these things. Heh…
Visited the pub this evening. The Rochester Hotel (I’m very sure there’s a word missing in that name). They serve Mountain Goat Beer on tap. This beer is pretty good, it’s supposed to be an Indian Pale Ale (or was that Little Creatures, can’t recall). It has a nice honey styled aftertaste. The beer was served in a jug with two chilled glasses. Me and my friend sat by the warm fireplace (yes, real chunky log of wood being incinerated slowly), enjoying beer and reminiscing camping adventures. I will be graduating soon, and probably would not have much time to enjoy such moments anymore after I get employed. Still wondering what it’d be like after I graduate.
After this selection of beer, had another Fitzroy Amber Ale. I think this is an Autumn beer, and the description on it suggests a hint of ‘apricot’ aftertaste with just the right amount of malt. Heh, this is one of the things you learn when you study overseas, developing an appreciation for various beers. These two beers are Australian by the way, there are some other, more fascinating, European ones. Hope to describe more alcoholic drinks in the future, heh.
