Was actually inspired to draw the pic late a few nights ago because of this site here. I have yet to follow the step by step instructions found on that page, but will try to use some of the techniques in my next drawing.

While writing this post, found this pic and was totally blown away by it. I’d really like to spend some time learning up some drawing skills.

The gal I drew took about 2 hrs, and was based on a photograph of a movie star. Used a Wacom Graphire tablet to draw it. I’m happy with the tonal ranges of the pic, but think that there can still be plenty of improvement in drawing basic shapes. Heh, need to work on facial expressions and proportions a bit. At the moment, I still draw things a little too manga style, big eyes with small nose and mouth.

Heh, wonder when my next late night drawing session will be.
