Just spent the last hour or so trying to configure a lousy MySQL database to work. Followed a step by step instruction guide on how to setup a webserver. Heh, I blame myself for not reading thoroughly at times, needed a few runs to get most of the software packages working. The database package was much harder to get running as it wouldn’t allow me permissions to access it. This was no fault of mine as the author of the guide FAILED to write up that section, and it was only after I read the original article that it was based on that I figured you needed to do input some commands through the command prompt to get it running.
Heh, this reminds me of the good ole days when I was absolutely sure the software was just being bad tempered and refused to run. Quirks aside, they would run eventually, but the troubleshooting process is a painstaking one.
Think I’ve had enough for one night. Unsure why I have this sudden fascination with computers again.
