One of the funnier moments I had with a customer the other day was when this guy came to me after photocopying a whole stack of papers and asking me whether there was a machine to sort the papers out. I looked at him bewildered and saw a bunch of paper listed in the reverse order. His English wasn’t very good and I thought I was misinterpreting him. Staring at the papers again, I saw 257, 256, 255 going in reverse order. He was thus complaining that the pages were in the reverse order and I repeat, whether there was a machine to fix that problem. lol: I promptly turned the whole stack of paper and showed it back to him. He looked at it and then went ‘Ahhhh’. I walked away, barely concealing my amusement.

This reminds me of a comic strip I once read. The little kid was complainin to his sister that he got his peanut butter jelly sandwich wrong and that he won’t eat it. He was complainin that ‘you’re supposed to put the peanut butter first, then only the jelly on top. Now the sandwich is ruined.’ In which case, the sister also promptly flipped the sandwich around without uttering a word and walks away. He too, goes ‘Ahhhh’.
