Woke up at 830am this morning. Work is at 8am. Well, at least it was supposed to be.

Yes, I did went ‘Oh my god!’ and ran like the wind to work. Arrived with the uniform still unbuttoned and half dangling on me and panting at 847am. Heh, at least my boss didn’t get mad, and I had to rush through setting up the displays and unpacking the fish. Managed to get the things done just before the first customer arrived. Was packing up a whole stack of stuff for them and trying to process the order. Here at David Jones, you need to logon your account before you can do any transactions, and you have a card with a barcode on it. I tried scanning my card in and got an invalid data error returned to me. I was dumbfounded and tried to scan it two more times. Then I redid the logon sequence and still no luck. I looked at the card and went like ‘Duh…’. lol: I had scanned my City Library card instead of my employee card. You can’t blame me, they were both white and were pieces of plastic.

I’ve managed 8 hours of sleep in the last 2 days, while working many, many hours and gaming many, many hours. Was supposed to sleep at 12am last night, but was at my friend’s place until like 4am this morning (no prizes for guessing what I was doing). Arrived home and made the mistake of lying on bed (usually if I’m really keen on not falling asleep too deeply, I have half my body dangling off a chair so I don’t get too comfortable and wake up intermittently) and also holding onto my handphone (I use it as an alarm clock) while I was sleeping. I heard the alarm go off, but because I didn’t have to fumble for it, I switched it off too quickly and went back to sleep, hence the episode above.

Heh, have to get ready to go back to work soon. Needed to meet up with some friends leaving for home and I swapped hours so that I could do that, and now having missed the first 45 minutes of work, I decided to make it up to my boss by going back to work earlier by an hour.
