Just came back from a jobs career expo at Melbourne Uni.
You wonder at times, with the kind of marketing every firm puts out in search of fresh grads, you’d think that there’s at least ONE job that’s meant for you. Heh, I believe there is, I just need to work harder at sending out the applications. I’ve always been worried about not sounding ‘good’ enough to prospective employers and that had made me reluctant to send the applications out until I fine tuned it to what I deemed as perfect.
Well, that was back then. Now it’s just do your best and send it out. Hope for an interview. That’s that.
Went with a friend, and this job searching business reminds us of uni assignments. Heh, there’s also a due date involved and they all centre around the same timeline. Well, we’re not looking for high distinctions anymore, just that passing mark of 50 where you actually get a job.
