A Post A Day

Haven’t been able to keep up with writing daily posts for this month. Heh, apparently today is the coldest day so far in the year that Melbourne has had. It’s so cold apparently, they predicted a 40% chance of snow in the city. I was staring out the window at work but saw only dark clouds looming, which for some odd reason, disappeared a while later towards the latter part of the afternoon.

Heh, it’s been an odd week actually (well, an odd half a week). Started work. *blink*

Took out my iron for the first time (the one I brought from Malaysia) on Sunday evening. It’s been sitting there for a year and I never had any use for it until now. Wasn’t really that excited the day before work, although I couldn’t really sleep well, cause I was afraid I wouldn’t get up in time for work. That and also because I watched one half worth of Charity Shield (how can anyone miss a clash between Arsenal and Chelsea?) until 1230am outside. :P

There’s a lot of interesting stuff at work, but I think it’s all P & C, so I can’t really talk about it. Heh the only similarities between my current job and my previous one was all the cuts. If it’s not fish cut then it’s paper cut.

It’s odd to say it, but I do miss working at David Jones somewhat. I don’t miss sushi very much, but now I think I’m spoilt to the extent where I won’t willingly pay for handrolls anymore. I figure people grow attached to familiarity. So even if it’s exciting to experience new things, you will think back of all the old things that have been good in your life (I’m guessing not all people think that way). I do however, miss the people I’ve worked with in the past. You don’t spend 9 months with people and not get to know their habits, likes/dislikes and quirks. Selling fish doesn’t sound fantastic, but it’s still a kind of useful service. Interacting with customers can be a pain (over counter service usually is) but it can also be quite rewarding when you meet people whom you can become friends with.

Have a lot I’d like to write about. So little time these days. Not that I’m busy, but I can’t really do the things I want at work.

Heh, dinner time. Don’t even have enough time to write a proper post now.
