Heh, I’m a Gundam freak. :P

Had just managed to grab the latest episode of Gundam Seed Destiny. Had to leave my place in 2 minutes because Arsenal vs Newcastle was starting in 30 min (poor Newcastle, I really felt they deserved to draw at the very least). After that meant I had to go to bed because of work the following day.

So what do people like me with too little time and too many activities do? You load the episode onto your PDA phone and watch it while walking to your friend’s place. 20 minutes per episode. Reached my friend’s place a little faster than that. Heh, I don’t think I’ve multitasked to this extent before.

This picture here is Impulse taking a swipe at one of the stolen mobile suits. Can’t remember which.

You are thinking I can wait until the next day after work to watch it? No way, josé.

Late Sunday Evening

Figured that my weekend was gone before it even started. Heh, have sort of planned it out and had several commitments I needed to keep.

Today I was supposed to help a friend fix her computer. Being me, I usually say yes (out of being nice) to people with computer problems, even if I’m never really keen on doing these things anymore. Can think of 101 other better ways to spend my time.

Friend was staying in Footscray, which isn’t really too far from the city (its a little suburb about 10km away from the city at most). Arrived at my friend’s place and asked what the problem was. I was flabbergasted (I kept that to myself) when she told me I just needed to hook up the computer. She had just recently moved here and haven’t unpacked her computer yet. Heh, it only required 5 minutes to set it up, less if I didn’t have to fiddle with finding out where to find a power outlet. I’m still taken by surprise by how much I take my so called IT skills for granted at times. Computers come with lots of wires, but everything is colour coded so you know what goes where. Keyboards are cabled purple, the mouse is cabled teal and so forth. I could have done this setup by phone!

Well, on the bright side of things, I did get a free meal for my travelling efforts. Rarely do I go outside of the city, and had a chance to look at other people’s lifestyles. This is really the thing that’s been on my mind the duration of my visit outdoors. Peeking into other people’s habits, their livelihoods, you have an idea on how different people get about their daily businesses.

There’s also the tie in with work now. Heh, as much as I receive a paycheck and am part of the working class now, my processes are still heavily influenced by student habits. I haven’t changed my spending habits very much, although I am pretty inclined on that 24″ Dell LCD that I’m always drooling over. :P

Heh, this is not much of an entry, not going to write anymore. Really plenty on my mind as it is. Always so much to review in my head. Now, off again to watch Arsenal vs Newcastle. Did I say my weekend is already gone?

Early Sunday Morning

Somehow managed to get through the first week of work. Work isn’t fantastic in the first week, but after a couple of chats with several people, I’m quite convinced that this job isn’t going to be a stroll in the park. Much more so is that I’m convinced there’ll be quite a bit to learn.

Pushing things a little to the limit these days with time allocations. Not quite happy that I’m no longer as free as I used to be while I was selling fish. Heh, still have the social commitments, the TV series/anime I want to watch and all that extra gaming. Somehow, even with all of that floating around in your mind, you never quite forget that you need to clean your room. Heh. So tired these days, but am adamant to stick to the sleep at 1am, wake up at 730am regime. So much to do, so little time.

Speaking of series to watch, just completed the first season of House M.D. This is the ONLY non scifi series I’ve been keen on watching. This is mainly due to the characters and their interactions between each other. Dr Gregory House is a brilliant doctor who has no bedside manner whatsoever and even I’m impressed with his way of sarcasm. The episodes shows his interactions with 3 doctors under him and his patients (there are other main characters, but no need for me to spoil it for you). The series has its full share of medical jargon (and you do learn quite a bit just watching) but the most intriguing bits are the observations on human behaviour. Human behaviour, while being unpredictable, can also be determined/anticipated through heuristics. It’s fascinating to know why humans do the things they do, why they choose to do it and how they deal with the realities of life. I’m pretty sure that a lot about human behaviour has been documented, and if everyone had even a glimpse of an idea on these issues, they’d probably deal with life and people with less pain and more understanding. I’m being all vague about all the human issues here, but I really recommend the series. It’s entertaining and witty. Heh.

Soccer’s started. Man U got off to a brilliant start. Wayne Rooney is brilliant. The squad has slightly more depth this season I feel. The players are combative and determined. I haven’t seen such fluidity from this team in a while. Heh, would be interesting to watch how the season unfolds.

Side note. Realised that attention to detail can provide you with a lot of useful information. Heh.
