Starting September

It’s been a whirlwind two weeks, yet time seems to have slowed down a bit for me. I feel like a key with the accompanying lock, as when I arrive home, I feel like I can slot just right in.

Melbourne was great. Met up with friends, ate and was merry. Did the usual things I normally do when I’m there, and being with familiar people and surroundings, you feel at ease. Totally forgot about work, and even with the current turmoil, I’m just turning a blind eye to it, hoping everyone is doing okay with the current subprime mess.

Am back in Kuala Lumpur now. Heh, now that I no longer stay for a few months, it’s just another whirlwind of activities before I go back to New York. Been stuffing myself with food and relatives say I look a little rounder. Will be doing another round of eating later tonight.

I do realise now how much I miss family and friends. New York city really is a learning experience, and aside from the work and culture experiences, I’m also learning how to deal with myself. When you are in familiar territory, you tend to just stick to safe experiences without venturing too far off the between track. There’s probably a lot of wisdom/advice to be gained from these short 3 months, and I can offer it if anyone is willing to listen, so not going to bore anyone with it here on a blogpost.

Heh, met with old highschool friends. People have been in long relationships and are getting married. Kind of odd that things just progress naturally and you don’t really think too much about it at the time.

My mind is just saturated with ideas now. Will just leave the start of the month with a portrait of Champ the chihuahua (white balance of the D70 is still not flattering under fluorescent light).
