It just feels like I’m floating.

I’m physically where I am, but constantly somewhere else in mind. It is a form of escapism, just daydreaming and living another’s dream.

I’ve been looking at drawings and illustrations of so many different talented people around the world, and my pencil scratches seem to be stuck in one form that I have used since childhood. It’s like a dream if you could take a paint bucket and just streak paint all over and they’d magically form the images in your mind.

These days I’d just like to poke a pencil or any liquid pen against a surface and start doodling. I try to emulate what illustrations I see, but somehow seem to fall short of expectations. The above I quickly doodled on a notebook and it’s ok to not have a scanner when you have something just as efficient in a DSLR.

One of the other things that have caught my eye lately is Honda’s new personal jet. Honda’s line is ‘The Power of Dreams’ and they started out making motorcycle engines, but you can find their engines in cars, lawn mowers, motor boats and within the last 20 years, they developed an airplane. The Honda Jet, as it is called, is one of the most elegant piece of aviation transport ever developed. I can only direct you to read the news item on this plane but I’m personally very impressed.

Not quite sure how I want the month to pan out but I’m hoping for a back to basics approach to the daily routine.
