Been seemingly piling on weight more easily these days. I’m not too sure that my metabolism has changed too much, it’s just that I think I’m eating more properly these days.
Went to the gym yesterday for the first time in 4 or 5 years. Started out with the treadmill, and strangely, it feels weird moving my feet and not actually displacing distance. I had to jump off the treadmill twice as the sensation between my feet and the rolling rubber below me seemed out of sync. Not sure if it’s a lack of confidence in keeping up with the speed of the treadmill but it’s been a long while since I’ve run any distance. Will just keep at it to get back some stamina. Still want to do a half marathon some day.
Friend made me do a whole bunch of weight exercises as well. Today my arms and torso are hurting. I can still move without creaking too much, which is a good sign. Was sweating profusely around 30 minutes into the exercises. It feels good to sweat it out. My thighs have these overly tight muscles and I am not terribly flexible. Probably a little more stretching is needed over the next few weeks to get it going.
Heh, just waiting to see what results I get in the next few months.
