Hopping Between Topics

I took this around 730 in the morning while I was at my conference in Ballarat. It has sort of a tranquil feeling to it. Heh, doesn’t quite showcase why I got the 50mm f/1.2. It was pretty cold over in Ballarat and saw my car top frosted over with ice. I quite enjoy the cold weather, so it was a refreshing change for me.

Here I have another shot taken with the 50mm at f/1.2.

You get the defined edges of the leaves in front and it totally melts the background into butter. It has a slight surreal feel to it. I like it quite a bit.

It was a quick 1 1/2 hour drive each way to and from Ballarat. Feeling pretty comfortable with my Jazz these days, knowing how it behaves and performs. Have slightly better spatial judgement with maneuvering the car into parking spots and tight lines between cars.

Learned quite a bit during the conference, with some exceptional speakers from various parts of the health industry. Other than picking up some accounting practices from the conference, the message I took home was that if you are positive, and if you are willing to work hard at a set plan, you will have a high chance of succeeding in what you want to do. One other thing I noted was that it’s a small community, where health professionals will transfer between hospitals, health institutions or government agencies so everyone knows everyone else and a lot of people will have been in the industry for the past 20 years or more.

The weekdays and weekends transition very quickly so time glides by these days. Would like to cling onto something so I can achieve some ideas when I’m free to do so. Heh, very rarely do I get too much free time and I like to idle between other tasks that are generally more relaxing than being productive. My idling includes grocery shopping and house cleaning. Heh, it’s a neverending task, but the familiarity of it makes it enjoyable for me. All my other ideas are up in the air at the moment, so I’d really like to pick one and go through it quickly. Need to get some momentum going.
