Starting October

I quite want it to be spring already, but the weather’s still a bit out of whack. It’s still a little colder than I’d like it to be and it’s been raining a lot, which is good for the catchment areas and the water levels at the dams have risen a bit.

This picture isn’t what I’d call my normal style of doing things, but it is outside the box of what I’d normally take. Aesthetically, I think the image is a little too cluttered. Maybe not knowing where I shot this would make me perceive the image as special, but sometimes it’s difficult to separate the context of the image with the actual image itself.

I’ve been experimenting with that desaturated look and have had varying results on a few of my other images. I think it helps an image that is interesting but having too many colourful objects seeking your attention, and toning the colours down helps with taking the whole photo in.

Heading into the last 3 months of the year now. Nothing much to note about work, other than the fact that I have a job. It’s a little sad that it is all I can say about it at the moment. It’s been nearly a year since I’ve started and I’ve grown into my role but have sort of stuck there for the time being. Heh, wonder if I’d look at work any differently if I was studying for my CPA now. Although it does seem similar that I was at the point of being similarly lost after a year into the role.

It’s Champion’s League night again and Manchester United scraped through one of their group stage rounds again. Real Madrid’s 80 million pound purchase of Cristiano Ronaldo must seem like really good business now for he’s hit the ground running and has scored about 10 or so goals in all competitions now.

There’s a chance to see the tulips again this month as they are currently in season. Hoping to also catch the Salvador Dali exhibition before it closes at the end of the week. Nothing much else planned for this month. Still trying to plan a holiday for the end of the year and it’s a gripe of mine that sometimes it’s more expensive to travel within Australia than it is to go overseas. The Christmas/New Year period is not really the best time to be traveling, even though most of us would be free during that time anyway.

I’d like to get more personal projects done and now after my cousin’s wedding, is the time to do it. I’m sure I have a few stuff noted down here and there so that should keep me busy for the month.
