This Month’s Routine

lazing

After bringing him out for a walk in the park, Alfie is generally tired out as I try to make him run as much as possible. Being short legged, when he lies flat on the ground, his feet aren’t in the traditional positions that most dogs would be comfortable with. He’ll just sprawl as he feels like it and give you this ‘I couldn’t care less’ look. Heh.

Potted some plants over the weekend and gave plenty of water to the other plants growing. My dill was floundering and looked like a floppy mess, but after drenching it in water, it started looking perky again. Of the plants I potted, my poor chilli sapling didn’t survive. Alfie decided to dig it out of it’s pot (obviously from boredom when we are away at work, although he has a variety of chew toys and other weeds to dig up in the garden). The poor thing was whitering and uprooted when I came back yesterday so I tried planting it back and added some water. After half an hour, it looked like it would survive. Today I come home and the chilli sapling has completely disappeared. I don’t know if Alfie devoured it (some uprooted weeds elsewhere would suggest otherwise) or if he has buried it in some obscure part of the garden. Heh, scolding Alfie will only perplex him as he will have no idea what you’d be going on about, even if you point at the missing plant in the pot. I think I will pot smaller plants in the centre courtyard from now on.

Getting a better outline on the stuff I’m studying now. Having a clearer picture of it makes you focus on it better. Heh, after work activities involve food, Alfie and gaming. Have lots of stuff in the fridge to cook, but sometimes you just need to be creative on what you want to do with it. Alfie requires babysitting if you want him to pee in the right spot but having to study, I’m not always around to watch over him. You can anticipate when he needs to go, but sometimes he’ll just hold it in until you are not looking as he has associated peeing with getting scolded. He gets praise when he does it outside or on the right spot, but it’s still hit and miss. As for gaming, got a guitar controller for Guitar Hero (Playstation game) from my friend as a housewarming present (he sort of bought too many guitar controllers somehow) and the local game shop was selling a copy of the game for $8, so I figured I’d just go get it. It reminds me of when I used to play the guitar and it’s made me think of getting a basic electric guitar and amp. Heh, actually, there are plenty of things I’d like to be buying but with the little time I have to tinker with other things, I’ll just continue salivating over them.

It’s almost midnight again. How time flies when you are having fun.
