Starting November

Alfie became a tricolour corgi for about half an hour this morning as he was let loose in the park. He decided to go frolic in the pools of water that had collected from the rain, so in essence he was pretty much swimming in puddles of mud. He came out with his lower body completely black, and I only bathed him yesterday. It’s just in his nature to go dirty himself up as much as he can.

Just looking back last year on what I was doing in November last year. I’ve run out of games I’d like to play, so just sticking to Guitar Hero on the Playstation and the occasional Starcraft 2 with friends. Tried out Civilisation V, but maybe I’m so preoccupied with other things these days. I remember the days when I played the previous versions of the game from morning until evening and realised that it was so dark but have yet to turn the lights on. I’ve already done 3 papers in the CPA program. Need to sort out some of the other prerequisites for the program.

Now that I have time, I’ve got a bookcase for the living room. Had some fun setting it up with Jerome last night and it’s so much easier with a power drill, so you don’t have to manually turn each screw in. Had some dramas with the bookcase this morning (due to not following instructions and not fixing it up after discovering the error) but that’s been rectified. I was busy moving books across from the built in cabinet space and it’s made me want to read again. I’ve been tidying up bits and pieces around the house. Seems there’s plenty to do and I just need to be motivated enough to get through all of the stuff. Just not quite in the frame of mind these days, partially due to the crappy weather and hay fever. It’s probably just that the list of to do items keeps changing, increasing, decreasing and I don’t seem to get a sense of moving forward. It’s like the numbers at work, if you don’t have any tangible way of measuring stuff, things get lost in translation.

Need to just simplify things and get them done. I guess I can do at least that.
