Not my typical kind of photo, but I liked how the rain was falling yet it was still bright and sunny. The sunlight was glistening off the water droplets and over on the other side you could see a rainbow over the city of Melbourne.

Alfie managed to dirty himself again in a small puddle of mud that was remaining from last week’s rain. He’s becoming a little more vocal and whines when he doesn’t get attention, so going back to basics and giving him the cold shoulder when he’s being bad. He knows he’s supposed to urinate in the courtyard and does that on occasion but when he’s being ignored, he will just do it near the door to the court yard to get your attention. Scolding him is also a form of getting attention, so ignoring him would probably be the best way now.

Bought some shears to cut the grass outside my place. It’s strange that I have to do it, since the council considers it part of my property. There was no threat of imposing fines and the best they can do is seek your cooperation, which they did with a letter in the mailbox. Over the last week the neighbours with patches of land on the side trimmed the grass so under peer pressure I would also need to comply. I was intending to cut the grass anyhow, so it wasn’t really an issue, I was just waiting for time and better weather to do it. Could have got a lawnmower, but decided to grab the grass cutting shears instead. Heh, I knew what was involved but gave it a go anyway.
Had a go at the grass today and it was a good workout. Only managed a small portion of the grass and it will take me a few more days to get through the entire lot. I don’t mind spending a little extra time to do this, since other than be a couch potato at home and sit in front of a computer all day long at work, I hardly get any exercise otherwise.

Things are getting done, although slowly, but they are still getting done. Currently just need to keep at it.
