Caught Alfie in the rearview mirror. He was sitting in the boot cause he jumped into the river for a swim earlier in the day. It’s one of the more interesting pictures I have made recently, with the textured background of the dirty window and the mirror blending in with the elements in front of the front windscreen. I try to make more of such photos when I can.

Autumn has set in, with daylight saving time ending. It gets dark earlier now and it’s also getting cooler. It’s nearly a year in the new place and I like the space that living in the suburbs offers you. There’s also a shift in our activities outside of work. I’ve spent more time gardening and tidying around the house these few months than I have collectively over the past 10 years.

Got into the iPad 2 launch craze and mine has been shipped, probably direct from the factory in China. It will arrive early next week and I was hunting around for one to pick up directly the whole of last week but am now settled that the date has been fixed to when it will arrive. I was pretty patient about it until the smartcover for the iPad arrived and it was driving me crazy that I had nothing to attach it to. Heh, I have to remind myself it’s just a gadget.

Played with one at the shops and it is sleek and much thinner. It also feels lighter than the previous one but it does have enough heft that you’d notice it after using it for a long duration of time.

Lots to do this month. Birthdays, studying, a 14km run, my brother visiting. Heh, many things I’d like to write about, from the gardening to my photography.
