It’s spring. Here are some lemon blossoms from the lemon tree that’s been sitting idle over the last few months. The change in the season has brought about new growth to all the plants in the backyard. This picture was taken with my 105mm macro lens and bouncing some flash off the red brick wall for fill (hence the slightly yellow tinge).

Wanted to relate some experiences I have picked up over the last few days from revisiting web design but it sort of got lost in a convoluted mess of words. I haven’t evolved much over the years in this area, only because I’ve been barking up the wrong tree. Right now, I have the technical know how, just like how I was looking back at the first couple of years at work. I knew how to get to the outcome, but never looked beyond why I needed to achieve that outcome.
I am just putting together all the experiences from taking photos and cooking, and am starting to realise that we get stuck because we are missing some fundamental ideas on how things work.
Right now, I just need to get back into the flow of things. When I start working on designing web pages again, I will review my own workflow and really see how I can improve on things.

At the moment I know I’m being spread too thin trying to do everything. I have to decide on what I want to focus on and stick with that. There’s been too much moping around and not enough action. It’s time to go for quick wins in short, concise bursts. I really need to focus now.
