waffles and eggs

Breakfast never really is simple at home, it’s either just a cup of coffee, or an entire spread of food. Here we have waffles with eggs and pesto plus buffalo mozzarella, tomato and basil leaves.

Haven’t been feeling 100% for a long time now. My nose seems to get the better of me now that it’s pollen season, and it affects the rest of my respiratory system. I miss the days when I had more energy and this was during work hours where I’d come home and still be bubbling with energy until midnight just because I want to get other things done. These days I get tired by eleven, and either it’s because I haven’t had a run in a long while or I’m just not that enthusiastic about things any more. Heh, I probably need the exercise more than anything else, it’s not quite in my nature to be feeling crabby.

Working on my website now. I’ve re decided to stick to my decision to keep it simple. Sometimes you need to bend your will to force yourself to ship. My portfolio is lacking in great photos, and it’s some less than stellar photos previously that gave me the opportunity to shoot something else now.

I am so used to deferring to someone to make a decision for me that I can suffer from paralysis when it comes to doing something important. It takes a little effort to peel off that fear of doing something. Heh, the item never seems to get scratched off my to do list, as I have lots of ideas but never pinning them down and focusing on what I’m going to work with. I always have to ask myself the question on what is holding me back, as a lot of times the fear is vague because I do not want to confront it.

I am afraid of sliding into a shell of self preservation. It’s like the story of the frog in a pot of water being slowly heated up. The heat is gradual and you keep adapting to the rise in temperature. You don’t realise it until it’s too late when you are being boiled to death.

I’m just keeping myself wary. It’s time to look for answers.
